A free ticket is genuinely free
Price a ticket at $0.00 and we charge nothing on it - comps, sponsor seats and school groups included.
Box office comes with it
Sell at the window and check guests in with the Hytix Organizer App box office on any phone - no extra licence to buy.
Nothing due before your first sale
No contract, no subscription, no setup charge. Build the whole season, publish it, and owe us nothing until a ticket sells.
The money comes straight to you
Card payments move from the buyer to your own account through Hytix Payments - no third party sitting on your takings.
Put your own numbers in.
Your real ticket price and your real volume, against what the same sales would cost elsewhere. Organizer-absorbed, so the comparison is like for like.
Free tickets cost nothing on SantaTicket, so leave them out. Figures assume 2 tickets per order for platforms with a flat per-order charge - SantaTicket has no such charge. Box office tickets add each platform's own on-site fee on top of their normal ticketing fee.
| Platform | Fees | You’d save |
|---|
Charge your own fee, and keep all of it.
Set a service or booking fee per event at whatever level you choose. The buyer pays it, you keep 100% of it, and we take nothing out of it.
- Set it at or above our $0.50 and ticketing effectively costs you nothing
- Or absorb our fee and keep your advertised price clean
- Both are a setting, not a plan change
Example
- $25 ticket, $1.00 booking feeBuyer pays $26.00
- SantaTicket fee$0.50
- You keep$0.50 extra, per ticket
Your ticket prices should move without you.
The rule builder is where pricing stops being a nightly chore. Write the conditions once - the day, the arrival slot, tickets remaining, how far out the booking is, how many are in the party - and every price on your event adjusts itself for the rest of the season.
- Peak Saturdays climb; quiet weeknights soften to fill
- Early-bird windows open and close on a date, not on your memory
- Last seats in a nearly-full slot price up automatically
- Group, family and member rates apply themselves at checkout
Our $0.50 never changes when a rule raises a price - every extra dollar it earns stays with you.
- When day is Friday or Saturday
then price +$4.00 - When slot is under 15% remaining
then price +$3.00 - When booked 21+ days ahead
then price −$2.50 - When party of 4 or more
then apply family rate
Selling tens of thousands of tickets a season?
Large winter events, multi-site operators and attractions running several seasons a year should talk to us before signing up. Volume changes the maths, and we will put a rate against your real numbers - the ticket count, the average price, the processing mix.
Questions organizers ask about ticketing costs.
Still unsure? Call any hour and a person will pick up.
How much does winter event ticketing software cost?
On SantaTicket, $0.50 per ticket sold plus 2.99% card processing. There is no monthly subscription, no per-event charge and no setup fee, so a season that sells nothing costs nothing.
Who pays the ticketing fee - me or the guest?
Your choice. Absorb it into the ticket price, or add a booking fee at checkout and keep the whole of it. Most Christmas event organizers pass it on and come out ahead.
Do free tickets and comps cost anything?
No. Free entry, comped sponsor tickets, radio giveaways and school groups on a zero-price ticket are never charged - the $0.50 applies only to a paid sale.
Are there cheaper rates for high-volume events?
Yes - if you sell tens of thousands of tickets across a season or run several sites, schedule a call and we will price against your actual volume.
Can I use my own payment processor?
Cards run on the Hytix gateway at 2.99% flat, which keeps one payout, one reconciliation and one place to chase a chargeback. Talk to us if you have an existing merchant arrangement.
Is the box office app an extra cost?
No. Gate scanning, timed entry and slot booking, window sales, offline mode, staff logins, waivers, reporting and 24/7 support are included on every account - there is no premium tier to buy.
Nothing to pay until your first ticket sells.
Build the event, connect a payout account, publish. If this winter sells out, you will have paid us $0.50 a ticket to get there.
